WhatsApp Communication Policy
Effective date: 23 May 2026. This policy explains exactly how STEEL WHITE uses WhatsApp Business, what you can expect from us, and how to opt out at any time.
1. Policy overview
STEEL WHITE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND GENERAL MAINTENANCE L.L.C. uses WhatsApp Business as a primary support and coordination channel because it is fast, two-way and widely available in the UAE. WhatsApp messages we send are operational and service-related — we do not use WhatsApp for marketing campaigns or promotional broadcasts.
2. Opt-in procedures
You will only receive WhatsApp messages from STEEL WHITE if at least one of the following applies:
- You contacted us first through WhatsApp using our published business number.
- You provided your WhatsApp number through a form, an email, a phone call or a written service agreement, and asked us to use that channel.
- You are a tenant or owner whose contact details were shared with us by the property owner or landlord under an active management contract.
We do not buy contact lists and we do not message numbers we obtained without context or consent.
3. Opt-out — reply STOP
You can opt out at any time. Simply reply with the word STOP to any WhatsApp message we send you. Once we receive STOP we will:
- Stop sending you further WhatsApp messages, normally within one business day.
- Flag your number as opted-out in our records, so it is not contacted again on this channel.
- Continue to provide service via other channels you have given us (email or phone) for any work already in progress, unless you ask us to stop those too.
4. What we send on WhatsApp
Typical message types you may receive from us:
- Inquiry replies — answers to questions you sent us about a property, service or quotation.
- Maintenance updates — confirmation that we received a request, when a technician is dispatched, and when the job is complete.
- Appointment confirmations — date, time and access details for property visits.
- Customer support — direct replies from our team during business hours, with on-call coverage for emergencies.
- Documents and photos — service reports, before/after photos and other records related to your property.
5. No sale of contact data
We do not sell, rent or share your WhatsApp number or message contents with third-party marketers, list brokers or any other entity for promotional purposes. WhatsApp data is shared only as strictly required to deliver the service you asked for (e.g. forwarding job details to a specific maintenance technician) or where required by UAE law.
6. Data security
WhatsApp messages between you and our business account are transmitted using WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. Within STEEL WHITE, access to WhatsApp conversations is limited to staff who need it to coordinate your service. We retain WhatsApp history only for as long as needed to support active work and to meet legal record-keeping obligations.
